High School Literature

Description: This course is a structured high school literature course covering several different genres of literature organized into units that explore conflict, character, theme, point of view, structure, and tone. Students will study contemporary and classic American, British, and world authors in four genres: fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and drama. Selections include discussion questions to promote critical thinking skills.

Books Required: Fundamentals of Literature Student Text, 2nd ed. Please ensure you purchase the second edition, as other editions are completely different books with different content. It is available on Christian Book ,on the publisher’s website, or in a digital version. Students may use this option if they have a way to access their digital version during class.
